Abstract
1417909 Automatic analyzing apparatus AGA AB 1 Nov 1973 [23 Nov 1972] 50832/73 Heading G1B A conveying system for an automatic analyzing apparatus and serving to convey one or more holders, each of which is arranged to accommodate a plurality of receptacles chargeable with a substance to be analyzed, along a path past different treatment stations includes turning means located at at least one point of the path for selectively turning a holder relatively to the conveying path, the or each turning means being arranged to turn at the, or the respective, point a holder through an angle equal to the angle subtended by a first radius extending from the turning axis to a first selected receptacle and a second radius extending from said axis to a second selected receptacle in the same holder, the system being provided with a device for charging the substance to be analyzed and a reagent into at least one receptacle of one holder, and with at least one further device for removing said substance including said reagent from said receptacle. The arrangement in Fig. 2 illustrates the operation of turning a holder, wherein a holder, containing four receptacles, is moved by means (not shown) along slide bars 6 and 7, and, by co-operation between teeth 9 and 10, turned in recess 8. Thus for example, a receptacle containing liquid to be analyzed is by the turning of the holder, positioned by an appropriate treatment station such that analysis of the liquid may be carried out.
