Abstract

1417838 Feeding sheets G D SpA 23 Feb 1973 [29 Nov 1971] 55388/71 Heading B8R Sheets are separated from the bottom of a pile in a hopper 1 by a roller segment 16 -arranged to be oscillated on a shaft 10 and connected to a source of suction which acts through a port 26. The cylindrical surface of the segment is tangential to a platform 14, 15 upon which the pile is supported. The assembly of roller segment 16 and the platform 14, 15 is arranged to be reciprocated in a plane parallel to the platform by a wheel 19 which is connected to a rod 8 of the assembly by a can necting arm 22. Oscillations of the segment is brought about by a pinion 24 (mounted on the shaft 10 of the segment) which engages a rack 25 as the assembly is reciprocated. The separated sheets are forwarded by co-operation of the segment with a feed roller 43 in the extreme right hand position B of the reciprocating assembly.
