Abstract

1417784 Razors WARNER LAMBERT CO 12 Sept 1973 [14 Sept 1972] 42777/73 Heading B4B A safety razor comprises a seating flange 36 for engaging a single edge blade 22, a guard member 14 having a guard surface 48 and a cam follower 50 adapted to be urged by a spring 15 into engagement with a cam 64 such that the position of the guard surface 48 relative to the blade edge may be varied and a slide member 92 for pivoting the cam follower out of engagement with the cam and positioning the guard surface in front of the cutting edge. The guard member is provided with a lug 54 on which the spring 15 acts to urge the follower 50 against the cam. The cam is rotated by means of a dial 62 having suitable setting indications 76 thereon. The slide member 92 is formed with wedging surfaces 98, Fig. 3, which, when the slide is in the position shown, pivots the guard member 14 such that the guard surface 48 covers the cutting edge (Fig. 3).
