Abstract

1417512 Dyeing cellulose/polyester blends HOECHST AG 2 March 1973 [3 March 1972] 10293/73 Heading D1B Blends of polyester and cellulosic fibres are dyed by impregnating with an aqueous liquor comprising a reactive dye, a disperse dye, an acid donor inactive at 40‹C or below, sodium hydroxide sodium chloride, or sodium sulphate, the impregnated material being allowed to dwell at a temperature up to 40‹C to fix the reactive dye, followed by pressuresteaming at from 1 to 3 atoms, gauge the acid donor adjusting the pH to 7 to 5 to fix the disperse dyes. The acid donor is preferably on alkali metal mono-, chloro-, or mono-fluorosaturated aliphatic monocarboxylate of 2 or 3 carbon atoms. The pressure steaming may be effected for 20 to 120 minutes.
