Abstract

1417321 Concrete mixers KARL-H MUHL HAUSER FELDBAHN-UND MASCHINENFABRIK EISENGIESSEREI SAGEWERK 9 Feb 1973 [10 Feb 1972] 6573/73 Heading B1C [Also in Division B7] A concrete mixing and transporting equipment comprises rail vehicles 4 coupled to form a train, each vehicle carrying a horizontal mixing drum 5 rotated by a pressurefluid motor 24, power to rotate all the drums being provided by means mounted on a separate vehicle 10. The drums may be of the type which are rotated in one direction to mix and in the opposite direction to discharge; they may be loosely coupled for travelling but in the construction of e.g. a tunnel may be close-coupled as shown so that each may discharge into the one ahead and thence to a conveyer 16. In one arrangement the motors 24 are hydraulic and actuated by fluid from a pump 23 driven by a compressed air motor 11 supplied with pressure air from a source on the train or (at the discharge point) from an air line. Alternatively the motors 24 may be pneumatic and driven from a source on the vehicle 10 or from an air line coupled thereto.
