1415419 Luffing arm apparatus P HAMMELMANN 18 Oct 1973 [1 Feb 1973] 48676/73 Heading B8H [Also in Divisions B7 and E1] Apparatus for cleaning or applying preservatives to the surface of a ship's hull or other vertical or inclined surface, comprises a carriage 1 displaceably mountable on a rail 3 at or adjacent to the upper edge 5 of a dock and a jib 19 pivotable about a vertical axis is supported by the carriage. Mast 30 carried by the jib is pivotable about vertical and horizontal axes and an implement carrier 35 is mounted at the free end of the mast.
