1414891 Hair dryers FERNHURST PRECISION TOOL CO LTD 21 Jan 1974 [2 Jan 1973] 272/73 Heading A5R A hand-held hair dryer comprises a dish-like impeller 10 with equiangular spaced blades 12 adjacent a housing intake and an axial sleeve 11 projecting from the convex side of the impeller gripping the drive shaft 20 of an electric motor, said sleeve being shrouded by a detachable smooth frusto-conical boss 16. The sleeve is split along its length at 14 and encircled by a spring clip 15, the insertion of the shaft 20 into the sleeve 11 expanding said sleeve to grip the boss 16. The base of the boss has radial slots 18 to engage the blades' roots.
