1413349 Removal of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases HITACHI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd 19 Sept 1973 [9 Dec 1972] 44005/73 Heading C1A [Also in Division B1] Nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases are reduced by admixture with a gas containing one or more of carbon monoxide, methane and/or hydrogen and passage over a catalyst comprising an alumina carrier or in which copper and one or more of the oxides of the alkaline earth metals and/or alkali metals are carried. The examples relate to catalysts containing alumina, copper and magnesium, barium or potassium oxide.
