1413341 Tilting vibrating tables ATELIERS DU LOIR 8 Jan 1973 [7 Jan 1972] 974/73 Heading B5A A mould 18 (Fig. 1) is supported on a wheeled structure 1 for vibrating and tilting between moulding and article ejection positions, the arrangement being such that the vibrations are not transmitted directly to the tilting mechanism. The mould 18 is partitioned (Fig. 5) for simultaneous moulding of four piles 19. A mould support table 15 can rest on the ground or legs 16 and resilient mountings 17. Table support shafts 26, 27 (Fig. 1), engage slots in carriages 29 that are movable vertically on uprights 5, 6 by endless chains 30. The shafts 26, 27 are rotatable by an eccentric crank-pin 40 driven by a rotatable member 41 (see also Fig. 2, not reproduced). The bottom of a hopper 2 is sealed by automatically closing flaps 3. The structure 1 is movable over the ground on wheels 7 rotatable by a crank handle 11 and chain 12. Operation.-The legs 16 of the support table 15 are rested on the ground, and the partitioned mould 18 filled with concrete through a funnel (not shown) from the hopper 2. A motor 22 is operated to drive a shaft 23 and attached eccentric gates 24 to vibrate the mould, the shafts 26, 27 being supported in widened portions of the slots in the carriages 29, so that the vibrations are not transmitted. A mould cover 21 (Fig. 5) is applied to form impressions 20, the cover removed and vibrating stopped. The member 41 (Fig. 1) is motor-driven to tilt the table 15 about a horizontal axis through 180 degrees, the table being guided by elliptical bearing plates 25 (Fig. 5), and the structure 1 (Fig. 1) automatically moving forward on wheels 7. The concrete piles are taken from the mould 18 at ground level, and the carriages 29 moved up the uprights 5, 6 while the structure 1 is wheeled away. Operation is automatically controlled by microswitches, or by control buttons.
