Abstract

1412977 Container for pills etc.; package F G CHESLEY 14 Nov 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 52600/72 Headings B8P and B8C A container for tablets, pills or capsules comprises a plurality of compartments closed by individual closures and a separate common closure. The individual closures are sequentially numbered or have indicia identifying the times when the tablets should be administered. In one embodiment, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), the container comprises a solid compartmented body having individual closures (17A) adhered to one face of the body to close one open end of each respective compartment (12A) and a common closure (14A) adhered to the opposite face of the body to close opposite open ends of all the compartments. A second embodiment comprises a solid compartmented body 10B, a common sliding bottom closure 14B for bottom ends of the compartments 12B and an individual sliding closure 17B for the upper end of each compartment. Each upper closure 17B has tongues 24 along two adjacent edges and grooves 25 along the other two adjacent edges, the tongues and grooves mating with the grooves and tongues of adjacent upper closures 17B and in some instances with grooves along two adjacent edges and tongues along the other two adjacent edges of a frame 23 mounted on the body 10B.
