Abstract

1412863 Laminated display pad JEWEL CASE & PADS Ltd 27 Feb 1974 [2 March 1973] 10326/73 Heading B5N [Also in Division A4] A display pad, e.g. for a pendant comprises a layer of textile-covered resilient material 2, e.g. foam rubber, a backing sheet 3, e.g. of paper, and a cardboard sheet 4 having an opening 5, two slots (6), Fig. 2 (not shown), being formed in an upper edge of the pad, the layers being adhered at their edges. A jewel portion 7 of the pendant may rest on the textile surface, a chain 8 passing through the slots (6) and being tucked through the opening 5 into a pocket defined within the pad. The sheet 3 is preferably covered on both faces with heat sensitive adhesive, enabling the layers to be united in a press having heated cutting means for producing a series of pads from superimposed sheets.
