Abstract
1412835 Tube mill liners KOPPERS CO INC 30 Jan 1973 [2 Feb 1972] 4706/73 Heading B2A A tube mill comprises a liner formed by axially-extending and alternately-spaced liner and lifter members 38, 42, Fig 3, the lifter members 42 holding the liner members 38 in position and themselves being held by fastening means between the lifter members and portions of the mill shell 12. A lifter bar 42 has a slot 44 and straddles a guide 34 welded to the shell 12. The lifter bar 42 and a line plates 38 may have cooperating wedge surfaces 46, 40. The lifter bar is locked in position by wedges 80 formed by keys 82, 84. Alternatively the liner members 38a may have straight sides and the lifter bars have shoulders 47, Fig 7. The liner may be arranged as a screen with slots 66 and pockets 68 lined with rubber 67. A key 100 Fig 3 may be used having a screw 112 inserted in a passage 108 in a wedge 102 to tighten the wedge in place. Alternatively a two-part round key 130 spaced internally by a rubber pad 134 may be used. The end walls of the mill may be similarly lined and include a sieve at the discharge end in known manner; Figs 1 and 2 (not shown).
