1412807 Vehicle wheels etc SEMPERIT AG 17 July 1973 [25 July 1972] 33956/73 Heading B7C [Also in Division C3] A bead protection strip for a pneumatic tyre is made of a vulcanised rubber composition including both fibres and a styrene-butadienestyrene block polymer. The fibres may be randomly orientated or be at least in part orientated in the circumferential direction of the strip. A suitable composition which may be vulcanised to produce the strip comprises a styrenebutadiene-styrene block polymer, a blended mixture of natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber, carbon black, a vulcaniser and ground carcass scrap, containing fibres having already vulcanised rubber adhering thereto.
