1410953 Oil circuit-breakers WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 20 Nov 1972 [15 Dec 1971] 53481/72 Heading H1N An oil circuit-breaker has an earthed metallic tank 1, at least one interrupting assemblage 4 in the tank and at least one resiliently mounted insulating blast shield 10, 12 disposed on one or opposite sides of the or each assemblage to absorb shock forces, the shields being closely spaced from the inner sides of the tank wall. The shields may be of a glass-reinforced polyester laminate and supported by elastomeric bumpers 14 on studs welded to the wall of the tank.
