Abstract

In an electric wall box having two spaced knock-out panels 14 or cable-receiving apertures in at least one side wall 11 and a slidable platelike bracket 15, carrying an apertured tongue 19 to receive a cover retaining screen, mounted on the internal surface of the wall 11 between the panels 14 or apertures, the bracket 15 has front and back portions 16, 17 whereby it is mounted for limited sliding movement on the wall 11 and an intermediate portion which is waisted relative to at least the front portion 16 so that both knock-out panels 14 or apertures are wholly unobstructed by the bracket 15 in any of the positions it assumes during the limited sliding movement. The bracket 15 is mounted on the wall 11 by lugs 22, 21, 18 as described and claimed in Specification 1,051,900.
