Abstract

1410878 Cathode-ray tubes ISE ELECTRONICS CORP 12 July 1973 [14 July 1972] 33263/73 Heading H1D A display tube including a figure of eight array of anode display elements 2, coated with luminescent material, a control electrode 13 and a thermionic cathode 4 is controlled by a decoder 6; a diode 10 is connected between one output terminal of the decoder and both the cathode and the control electrode to provide current through the cathode when anode elements are selected. One or more diodes are connected to the elements most frequently energized. The circuit includes a pattern selector switch 7, current limiting resistor 9 and a resistor 8 which can be varied to control brightness of the display.
