Abstract

1409895 Transistor gating circuits; automatic exchange systems; negative impedance repeaters LICENTIA PATENT-WERWALTUNGS GmbH 13 Nov 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 52279/72 Headings H3T H4K and H4R A gating circuit suitable for use in a telephone one or two wire cross point switching arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), comprises a negative impedance arrangement, e.g. cross coupled transistors Ts1, Ts2, Fig. 4, which compensate for attenuation in the signal path when the gating circuit is in its conductive state. To switch to the conductive state, transistor Ts3 is turned off by signal Ust, causing Ts1, Ts2 to be biased into the negative resistance region. Resistor R0 in the biasing circuit may be an FET, and Ts1, Ts2 may be a single four electrode device. Two similar circuits may be used in a balanced arrangement, Fig. 5 (not shown).
