Abstract

1409520 Reciprocating pumps DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL CORP 14 May 1974 [27 June 1973] 21331/74 Heading F1A In a hand-actuated dispensing pump for mounting on a container, the pump plunger 15 is selectively lockable by rotation of a control ring R relative to the container closure C to cam resilient fingers 26 into the path of an abutment 25 one or more surrounding the plunger 15. Cams 33, Fig. 3, on the control ring R have recesses between them to receive the fingers 26 when the control ring is rotated into its plunger-releasing position. Stop members 35, Fig. 1, on the control ring abut stops (36), Fig. 5 (not shown), on the closure C to define the locking and unlocking movements of the control ring. Actuator spray button 17 is snap-fitted at 20 on to plunger 15, and control ring R is snap-fitted at 28, 29 on to closure C.
