Abstract

1409213 Road-traffic signal control PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 12 Nov 1973 [15 Nov 1972] 52378/73 Heading G4Q [Also in Division H2] To detect simultaneous actuation of two "antagonistic" units L 1 , L 2 (e.g. traffic lights of the same colour) a circuit arrangement incorporates static switches S1, S2 (e.g. triacs) associated with two amplification channels 12, 13 each including two amplifiers (20, 21 and 22, 23 respectively) in cascade, the D.C. supplies (26, 27 and 30, 31) to which comprise rectifiers (32, 33 and 34, 35) oppositely-poled. The supply circuits detect the status of switches S1, S2 and the amplifiers act as logic circuits. The operation is described with reference to a table, Fig. 2 (not shown).
