1409021 Metal-resin laminates COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS) Ltd 1 Feb 1974 [1 Feb 1973] 5025/73 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] A vibration-damping laminate comprises a pad formed from a composition comprising 0À5-40% by weight of a polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon/formaldehyde resin, 5-40% by weight of a bitumen compatible therewith, and 50-80% by weight of a solid filler material, but not containing a rubber bonded to a metal sheet. The metal sheet may be of steel, and the pad may be bonded to the metal sheet by means of a pressure-sensitive adhesive and/or by heatsealing. The composition may include styrene polymers and plasticizers.
