Abstract

1408454 Coated sheet material M MICHEL 18 Dec 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 58272/72 Heading B2E [Also in Division B6] A foldable, e.g. paper, binding strip comprises areas of pressure sensitive adhesive 3 surrounded by anti-adhesive 2 e.g. of silicone, at least the areas of adhesive on one side of the fold line and furthest from it being out of registration with areas on the other side of the fold line when the strip is folded. Close to the fold line the adhesive areas may register to give a double thickness 12, Fig. 12, and a complete binding may be made by securing strips side by side in a cover 13. Preferably the strip consists of an element coated on one side with adhesive adjacent an apertured element coated on the outside with antiadhesive. The adhesive areas are thereby defined by the apertures.
