Abstract

1407604 Container closures MARDON ILLINGWORTH Ltd 25 Jan 1973 [23 Feb 1972] 8270/72 Addition to B8T A dispensing cap has limited rotational movement relative to a container to bring outlets in both into and out of register. The cylindrical container 10 has a sheet ruled end wall 20 secured to the side wall by a beaded edge 21, and with an adjacent annular recessed portion 22 and an annular raised portion 23 with discharge outlets 25, surrounding a central hole 24 into which fits an inner skirt 12 on the cap. The cap has an outer skirt 11 which clips over beaded edge 21, a ring portion which contains circumferentially spaced outlets 15, and a series of circumferentially spaced dependent pegs 14. An external shoulder 16 on inner skirt 12 engages below wall 20 when the cap is in position. The raised portion 23 of wall 20 has an indented outer rim with radial projections 26, the cap pegs being received in the spaces 27 between the projections thus limiting the arcuate movement of the cap between an open and a closed position where outlet holes 15, 25 are in and out of register.
