Abstract

1407270 Fractionating column MOBIL SERVICES CO Ltd 30 Nov 1972 55292/72 Heading B1B [Also in Division C5] In a fractionating column for steam distilling two different charges of crude oil simultaneously to obtain at least one common product, the distillation section is divided into two sections by cylindrical baffle 10, Fig. 1, the outer section comprising distillation cartridges 4, one charge being fed to the outer section via N 2 , Fig. 3, the other charge being fed to the cartridge via N 1 . Heavy naphtha is drawn off at D, light kerosine at F, heavy kerosine at H and gas oil at CC. Steam is introduced at P 1 , P 2 and P 3 . For Figure see next column
