Abstract

1407128 Discharging containers; vibrating conveyers METTLER INSTRUMENTS AG 8 March 1973 [24 Aug 1972] 11311/73 Headings B8A and B8S Fine grain material is dispensed from a container 11 by a device 5 attachable thereto and including a conveyer channel 13 for delivering dispensed material to a container 23 on a balance 22. The device 5 comprises a hollow externally cylindrical member 6, having a bore section in the shape of a sector and the bore is divided into an accumulator storage chamber 12 and the channel 13, by a depending rib 14 forming an aperture 15 therebelow. At the chamber 12 portion of the member 6, an annular support 7 is connected, to screw threadedly receive the inverted container 11 to be emptied, a sieve 10 being gripped beneath the mouth of the container 11. A flange 17 depending from the cylindrical member 6 is clampable to operating flanges 20, 20<SP>1</SP> of a vibrator 19, which when energized, vibrates material through the seive 10 into the accumulator 12, which has one end blanked by a removable cap 16, through the aperture 15 and along the channel 13 for discharge provided a cap 16<SP>1</SP> has been removed rom the channel end.
