Abstract

1406331 Shovels SAN MARCO DI CERCUTTI & C SAS 19 Dec 1972 [29 Dec 1971] 58980/72 Heading E1F A loader shovel for mounting on the forks of a fork lift truck comprises a support 1 having sockets for receiving the forks 4, a shovel 7 pivoted at 6 on the support 1, and a latch mechanism for locking the shovel to the support. The latch mechanism involves a shaft 15 being carried by bearings 21 fixed to the support and having a helical spring 16 so wound about the shaft and anchored to the shaft and the support as to biass the shaft to return when it is rotated to release a detent 12 from a latch 14 secured to the shovel. Pivotal movement of the shovel relative to the support is limited by a nut-headed rod 8 pivotally mounted about the shaft 15 and slidable through a guide 10 pivotally supported on the back of the shovel. A shockabsorbing 9 is positioned about the rod 8 between the guide 10 and the nut 22 at the outer end of the rod.
