1406283 Coating primed Al with PTFE IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD 24 July 1972 [27 July 1971 15 Nov 1971 8 June 1972] 26801/72 33471/72 and 33472/72 Divided out of 1378288 Addition to 1378288 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] A primer, comprising an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene and the reaction product of Al 2 (OH) 5 Cl.2H 2 O with or the phosphoric acid and optionally hydrochloric acid (in which the atomic ratio of Al:P is 1:X, X being <0.5), is sprayed onto a grit-blasted aluminium plaque, the coating is dried and baked, a coating of an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene is sprayed over the primer and dried, and the coating is then heated to sinter the polymer.
