Abstract

1406047 Electrographic imaging XEROX CORP 16 Aug 1972 [16 Aug 1971] 38227/72 Heading G2H In a migration or thermoplastic deformation imaging process the image bearing web 3 is developed by passing around a heated roller 1, the extent of contact of the web with the roller being determined by the position of a further roller 41 movable about the periphery of the roller 1 along a path 51. In a migration imaging process the web is charged by a coratron 9 exposed to a moving point light source 30 developed by heat from the roller 1 and passed over a viewing screen 24. The arrangement of rollers 1 and 4 may be used to cool a web e.g. a motion picture film following projection. In this case roller 1 is cooled.
