Abstract

140,415. Commonwealth Steel Co., (Assignees of Pflager, H. M.). Feb. 21, 1914, [Convention date]. Axle-trucks and bogies. -A bogie truck has a rocking bearing interposed between the side truck frames and the car body whereby greater flexibility of movement is obtained. The axles 8 are journaled in brasses swiveled in journal-boxes 6 bolted to the side truck frames 5 and connected by tie-bars 7. The side frames are connected by a rod 12 and are pivoted on pins 4 secured to the bolster or other part of the car body. The springs 11 are centred on bosses 15 formed on the side frames and on abutment plates 3 provided with projections 10 adapted to engage slots in tubular bosses on the frames and with concave seatings adapted to engage convex seats 2 on the ends of the bolster 1.
