[Cognate Application, 6481/14.] Axle - trucks; axlebearing guiding-arrangements. - In tramway vehicles provided with antifriction-wheel bearings, as described in Specifications 19,579/97, 4340/00, 17,935/02, and 8228/06, and 8228A/06, [both in Class 12, Bearings &c.], the main truck frame k is supported through the medium of springs on a side frame a which is cranked downwards at a' to form a guide for the axle-box b<2>. To absorb shocks and side thrusts, the side frame a is suspended by links h passing over helical springs h' resting on flanges b<3> formed on the axle-box b<1> of the antifriction-wheel axle d'. The axle-boxes b<1>, b<2> are bolted together. The flanges b<3> are strengthened by webs b<5>. A lug i on the axle-box b<1> prevents side play of the car-truck k.
