Axle-trucks and bogies.-A bogie truck has the wheel axles horizontally movable in journal-boxes pivotally mounted in side truck frames which are in turn pivoted to the underframe. The journalboxes 10 are mounted between the oppositely inclined faces 7<b> of jaws 7 formed on the side frames 1, and are held against upper bearings 7<c> by bolt 8 engaging recesses in bosses 7d on the boxes. The side frames, which have extensions 1<a> to support the brake hangers 9, are mounted on pivots 5 fixed to the bolster 4 and are connected together by a link 6. The springs 2 are arranged between the side frames and spring abutments 3 having bearings engaging corresponding members on the bolster and provided with projections adapted to engage recesses in tubular members on the side frames to prevent rotational, while permitting axial, movement.
