Abstract

1401947 Vent plug for storage battery ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 26 Feb 1974 [27 Feb 1973] 8603/74 Heading H1B A vent plug 10 for a maintenance-free starter battery for insertion into an electrolyte filler hole 11 in the battery top 12 comprises a cover plate 13 from which depends a sheath 15 and a splash guard 16 of cone shape formed by six tongues 17 separated by slits 18. The vent hole 19 is surrounded by a short tube 20 having an inclined end 21. The lower end of the sheath 15 may be slotted (Fig. 3, not shown).
