1401175 Chaplets C SNAPE 14 June 1972 [15 June 1971] 27927/71 Heading B3F A chaplet is formed from a single piece of sheet material such as steel or plastics bent up to form a leg 10 (preferably tapering) to be embedded in a sand mould and a head 12 of rectangular section for supporting a core. For extra strength the head 12 may include a bent-up section as shown in dotted lines.
