Abstract

1400922 Spring floors and prefabricated units MERO-WERKE KG DR ING MAX MENGERINGHAUSEN 3 May 1973 [4 May 1972] 21020/73 Headings E1B and E1W A resiliently mounted floor comprises a covering 4 laid on an upper layer of bonded wood chip boards 3 in turn laid on smaller square chip boards 2, of a middle layer, which have an edge length at most equal to the edge length of resilient boards 1 of an underlying supporting layer. The boards of each layer are laid in edge to edge adjacent relationship. The floor may be laid by placing each layer separately in situ and fixing the layers with adhesive. Alternatively prefabricated panels in which the middle layer of smaller square boards 102 is provided on a resilient backing board 101 with a plastics moisture backing layer 109 and the upper layer 103 is offset to overlap the middle layer of adjacent blocks to which it is secured by screws through holes 108 engaging inset threaded bushes 107 in the boards 22. The resilient board may be of foamed material.
