1399821 Pile fabrics IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD 11 July 1972 [23 July 1971] 34625/71 Heading D1K Pile fabric wall coverings are formed by holding a sheet of film forming polymeric material against a heated surface of a roller by means of a foundation sheet so that the sheets are bonded together and a pile surface is drawn from the polymeric material by the roller, cooling the pile to harden it and subsequently heating areas of the pile to collapse it by means of an embossing roller. The foundation may be brown wrapping paper and the film forming material may be pigmented polythene.
