1399323 Castors; folding trolleys BREMSHEY A G 21 Feb 1973 [21 Feb 1972] 10156/73 Headings A4H and A4U A castor 18 having an upright pivot pin 20 is clamped to a leg 13 of a trolley frame 14 by a clamp 24 comprising two jaws 25, 26 held in clamping position by a sleeve 31, the end of the leg 13 being offset from the axis of the main part of the leg so that the pin 20 is axially aligned with the main part of the leg, and the clamp 24 having cavities 27, 28 for receiving the pin 20 and the end of the leg 13 to locate them in their desired position. The clamp 24 is moulded from plastics material, the jaws 25, 26 being inter-connected by a hinge part 24', and a pin 29 on the jaw 25 co-operates with an opening 30 in the jaw 26 to locate the jaws in their clamping position. The pin 29 may be snap-engaged in the opening 30. The clamp 24 may be split off centre so that the pin 20 and the end of the leg 13 may be clipped into the cavities 27, 28 in one jaw before the jaws are closed. The sleeve 31 may be of plastics material or metal, and saw-tooth shaped ribs 32 are provided on the outside of the clamp 24 for engagement by the inside of the sleeve to retain the sleeve on the clamp. The trolley, Fig. 1 (not shown), comprises a central frame 1 having columns 2, (3) interconnected by bars (4, 5). Table halves (6) ... 9 are pivoted on the frame 1 for folding into the plane of the frame, the superposed halves (6), 8 and (7), 9 being inter-connected by rods 11. In use the table halves are supported by bearers (12) mounted on frames 14 which are loaded by torsion springs 15 in the direction to engage the bearers below the table halves.
