Abstract

1348206 Gripping tools VIRGINIO RIMOLDI & C SpA 23 May 1972 [21 June 1971] 24204/72 Heading B4W [Also in Division B7] A trolley having end frames 1, 2 interconnected by a diagonal 3 carries a detachable clamp 15 for supporting workpieces. Support platforms 8, 10 are pivotally mounted at 9, 11 on end frame 2 and a support bar 13 is slidably mounted in a joint 14 pivoted to end frame 1. The bar and platforms are movable (Fig. 2, not shown) to positions adjacent the end frame 2 to allow a number of the trolleys to be closely parked with end frame 2 of a second trolley being positioned inside end frame 2 of a first trolley and end frame 1 of the second trolley being outside that of the first. A fixed element 16 of the clamp has clips 18, 34 for attachment to support 10 and is connected via pins 20, 24 to movable elements 21, 23. Element 21 is connected by a spring 28 to the fixed element, and element 23 is pivotally connected to a release handle 29 at 30 and to a push rod 25 at 26. The push rod abuts an adjustable stop 27 which allows adjustment of the clamping position of the clamping jaws 19, 22.
