1281344 Collapsible perambulators W & F BARRETT Ltd 13 Oct 1969 [18 Oct 1968] 49637/68 Heading B7B A wheel chair has a pair of side frames each formed of members 24, 26 movable towards each other to collapse it and each side frame has a handle member 2 pivoted to it at 22 and carrying a fabric back rest. The handle 2 has an aperture engaged by the fixed pin 20 on a saddle member 28 to prevent its rotation in the sleeve 20 and an internal plunger 6 with a projection 14 engages an aperture 36 in the fixed plate 34 to prevent rotation about the pin 22 when the handle is in its operative position. Withdrawal of the projection 14 by the hand pin 10 allows the handle 2 to be moved to a position above and parallel to the member 26 with the hand pin vertically downwards.
