Abstract

1398935 Railway systems MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 24 April 1973 [20 April 1972] 19350/73 Heading B7L A mobile loading device 1 for loading and unloading shelves 3 has on each side a support wheel 2 which runs on a rail 4 and two vertically spaced friction drive wheels 7 which are driven by individual elctric motors 6 and engage bearing surfaces 5 fixed to the shelves, sensing means for sensing the distance travelled by the respective wheels 7 being connected to control means which regulate the relative speeds of the motors 6 to avoid oscillation of the device 1 about the support wheels. 2. As the bearing surfaces 5 are vertical the risk of dust contamination is reduced.
