Abstract

A goods distribution installation is used for goods stored in separate storage points such as compartments in which the goods are placed in rows. The installation includes a push out device to supply one or more items from one storage compartment with a selection system which operates both a placing as well as the push out device. There is also a position control device and a guide system for the goods at the supply point. The placing device includes a guide installation (8, 9) which is placed corresponding to a row or slot and fitted with a geared rod (10) and is fitted with a carriage movable along the guide installation. The carriage includes a drive motor which drives a pinion (16) in mesh with the geared rod and which also carries a part of the position control system, the other part of which is formed by an indicator row extending parallel to the direction of movement of the movable carriage.
