Abstract
1398884 Retractive switches; switch contacts CASIO COMPUTER CO Ltd 6 Sept 1972 [9 March 1972] 41255/72 Heading H1N A conical coil spring 21, (22, 23) has its large end resting on outer contact 17, (18, 19) and when it is compressed by actuator 24, (25, 26) its small end makes contact with the centre contact 12, (13, 14) to bridge the two contacts. Alternatively the coil spring may be the other way up, i.e. the small end rests on contact 12 and its large end is depressed into contact with outer contact 17. In a second embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the coil springs 41, 42, 43 are formed from a plane conductive sheet 28, which forms a common set of outer contacts, by a helical cut in the sheet above each inner contact and then pulling out the coil so formed into the shape of a conical coil.
