1397521 Shrunk fabrics CLUETT PEABODY & CO Inc 25 June 1973 [10 Oct 1972] 30047/73 Heading A3V [Also in Division Dl] In the production of knitted garments having a predetermined comfort level as described in Specification 1388755, prior to converting the knitted fabric into a garment, the fabric is stretched transversely and is passed longitudinally into a compressive shrinking unit whilst in the transversely stretched condition, the amount of stretching compensating for the loss of fabric widthwise during shrinking.
