Abstract

1397229 Impact pulverizers RHEINSTAHL AG 11 Jan 1974 [19 Jan 1973] 01364/74 Heading B2A An impact pulverizer comprises a vertical rotor 9 Fig. 1 with a succession of sets of ring hammers 13 with increasing impact ends in a downward direction cooperating with a casing comprises of vertically-arranged wear-plates 7, to produce a successively decreasing crushing gap. Each plate is removably inserted between two neighbouring profiled supports 6 to form a container of regular polygonal cross-section and is symmetrical and reversible with working surfaces 7a on opposite sides. The plates are held in place by members 25 Fig. 3 and pressurized tubes 26. The plates can be lifted out by ring bolts 8 screwed into holes in the plates. Material is fed into a rotatable and removable funnel 16 which includes a flap valve 18 and is initially comminuted by a beater 21 having exchangeable plates 22 Fig. 4. Ground material is swept out by beater blades 23. The rotor is reversible, and the ring hammers have profiled peripheries chosen according to the material to be reduced. Each may be a regular polygon. The mill is driven by a motor 30.
