Abstract

1397183 Electromagnets BURROUGHS CORP 30 Jan 1973 [18 Feb 1972] 4529/73 Heading H1P [Also in Division B6] A print wire 35 is actuated by solenoid means comprising a first driving coil 30 having a magnetic circuit including an axial fixed core 32 and an axial annular fixed core 33, coacting with a movable cylindrical armature 34 partially surrounded by the annular core 33. The print wire 35 is biased to rest position by a permanent magnet 39 acting in a magnetic circuit including an axial core 44 and an annular axial core 41 coating with a movable cylindrical armature 40. A coil 45 is provided to cancel the effect of the permanent magnet 39.
