Abstract

1396925 Space heaters; reflectors GJC (DEVELOPMENT) Ltd 17 May 1973 [12 June 1972] 27436/72 Headings F4V and F4W A space heater comprises a cylindrical fan impeller 8 and an elongate electrical heating element 9 positioned within the impeller 8 and extending along the longitudinal axis thereof. The element 9 is supported at one end only on a member 10 and the impeller 8 is also supported at one end on member 10. The ends of the impeller 8 having apertured discs or spiders 12, 13 project into chambers 5, 6 which are provided with air intake grills 16. A reflector 2 which is part parabolic in cross-section is provided. The impeller 8 may be operated with or without the heating element 9 and the speed of the fan impeller 8 and the heat output of element 9 may be adjusted by control apparatus within chamber 5.
