Abstract

1396389 Hair curlers L'OREAL 9 June 1972 [10 June 1971 3 May 1972] 27191/72 Heading A4V A hair curler is formed of plastics material and has radially inwardly and radially outwardly facing surface portions which conform generally to respective surfaces of revolution about the longitudinal axis of the curler, said surfaces of revolution having respective diameters which are no greater at any axial position along the hair curler than at the two axially outer ends, the hair curler comprising: a ring at each of its axially outer ends; in the central region of the curler, either a single circular member or at most two abutting circular members; and slats which connect the rings to the, or a respective, circular member, the slats being unconnected one from another along their lengths and being disposed at substantially equiangular intervals around the axis of the curler. In a first embodiment, the curler 7, Fig.3, comprises two identical components which each comprise slats 4 and rings 2, (3), Fig.2 (not shown), and which are connected in the central region of the curler by flanges (5). The curler 7 may be used with a pin 8. In a second embodiment, the cutler 11, Fig.4, includes slats 15, end rings 12, and a single disc 13 in the central region of the curler.
