Abstract
1396314 Electric protective systems BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORP Ltd 4 Sept 1972 [3 Sept 1971] 41244/71 Heading H2K [Also in Division H3] An electronic switch T6 is protected from overcurrent by the operation of a bi-stable trip circuit T3, T4 via a delay circuit R12, Cl when overcurrent occurs, the trip circuit shunting the output of a semi-conductor driver stage T2 for the switch T6 so as to turn the switch off and being reset by the low resistance of the driver stage when the input control signal returns to its switch off state. The bi-stable trip circuit shown may be replaced by a thyristor.
