Abstract

1396201 Rotary positive-displacement fluid-machines SOC ANON FRANCAISE DU FERODO 3 Aug 1972 [11 Aug 1971] 36333/72 Heading F1F A pump that may be of the gerotor type with rotors 11, 12 and used to supplement leakage losses in a hydraulic system comprising e.g. a pump and/or accumulator at 26 and fluid-pressure receiving means 126, has passages 20, 21 connected to high and low pressure conduits 27, 28 and a suction passage 24 connected to a reservoir 30, to which the leakage fluid may be returned through conduits 29, 129. The rotors 11, 12 are rotated by the fluid passing therebetween from the passage 20 to the passage 21, which also receives fluid inducted by the rotors through the passage 24 and compensating for said losses. Torque may be applied to the shaft 15 of the inner rotor 12 to assist or retard rotation thereof by the fluid. In another embodiment, Figs.4 and Fig.5 (not shown), the pump has identical pairs of passages (20', 24'and 40, 41) and non-return valves (42 .. 46) disposed symmetrically on opposite sides of the inner rotor so as to render the pump reversible. In a further embodiment, Fig.6, symmetrically disposed passages 20"', 21"', 24a, 24b in the pump are connected as shown to hydraulic supply stations 61, 63 and points of utilization 65, 67.
