1396185 Boring earth &c EXPANDED PILING CO LTD 3 Aug 1972 36342/72 Heading E1F An earth boring tool such as an auger has at the top of its shaft a coupling member 2 with a longitudinal bore 3 for accommodating the lower end of a Kelly bar, and a transverse bore 5 to receive a twisting bar for the purpose of rotatably driving a tubular casing after a bore has been drilled. A slot or slots 4 are provided for receiving a pin to lock the Kelly bar to the coupling member.
