Abstract
1396037 Compositions containing triorganotin derivatives M & T INTERNATIONAL NV 10 May 1972 [10 May 1971] 21825/72 Heading A5E A toxicant composition for combatting the development of marine organisms responsible for fouling comprises an intimate mixture of a triorganotin derivative of the formula: R 3 SnX or (R 3 Sn) 2 Y, wherein R represents an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl hydrocarbon radical containing not more than 6 carbon atoms, X represents a fluoride, chloride, nitrate, hydroxide, acetate, octanoate, laurate, resinate, dimethyl dithiocarbamate, naphthenate, isooctyl mercaptoacetate, hydride or methoxide radical, and Y represents an oxygen, sulphide or sulphate radical; zinc oxide; and/or a substituted symmetrical triazine of the formula: wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP>, which may be the same or different, represent hydrogen or a monovalent alkyl hydrocarbon radical containing not more than 4 carbon atoms and Z represents chlorine, bromine, or an alkyl thio radical (-S-R<SP>5</SP>), wherein R<SP>5</SP> is an alkyl group containing not more than 4 carbon atoms.
