Abstract

1509818 Compositions containing 1, 3-dithia compounds NIHON NOHYAKU CO Ltd 4 June 1976 [6 June 1975] 23179/76 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] A pharmaceutical composition for controlling liver diseases comprises an effective amount of 1, 3-dithia compound represented by the following general formula: wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP>, which may be the same or different, represent individually a C 1 -C 5 alkyl group; X<SP>1</SP> and X<SP>2</SP> may each be oxygen or sulphur; and n represents 0 or 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier. The compositions may be used orally, parenterally or in the form of a suppository.
